About the Presenter

Alexandra is a certified facilitator of The Work. She designs her teleclasses and workshops around where she’d like to deepen her own inquiry. She trusts that those who join her will give all that’s needed. Of particular relevance to this class is her experience as a trainer for the following ITW courses; Helpline, Difficult Client and Giving and Receiving Feedback.

For me, this teleclass has been a great opportunity to learn and have a lot of fun too. A wealth of information, valuable ideas, useful exercises, interesting sharing—all was designed to improve facilitation skills. Being a teacher myself, I can assert that Alex is a very good teacher. She keeps just the right balance between theory and practice, seriousness and fun, being well prepared and spontaneously responsive in the moment, being supportive and challenging, having a well thought-through curriculum and being very open to the participants’  suggestions, sharing her knowledge and giving room for discussions. I caught myself thinking that I’d like to learn something else under the guidance of Alex, whether it’s another teleclass of  The Work, or a music lesson, or a workout (I’m joking about the latter—I’m on the other side of the globe 🙂 It’s just been a privilege for me to have Alex as a trainer.
—Alexander Sokoloff, Moscow

This class is the first one I’ve taken that has the space to really explore my questions and beliefs about facilitating. The sharing and discussion, the space to really consider what works and what doesn’t for me as a facilitator, and the space to see so many beliefs showing up in my facilitations, has been an extraordinary experience. I hope I can continue to find this sense of community with other facilitators asking and presenting to each other after this wonderful class ends. Thank you, Alexandra.
—Linda

As a participant in this course I am loving the freedom I feel in being able to “get it all out” of my system. My fears, worries, concerns about facilitating the “right” or “wrong” way. Discussing in class and in our forum various thoughts that are cropping up as we move through the class. The homework exercises are super and give me the opportunity to learn and practice new and familiar lines to keep clients to a simple “yes or no” or to bring clients back from story. I’m finding the sentences that feel most natural and comfortable for me to use with clients. I highly recommend taking this class if you have even one small uncertainty about your skills as a facilitator. It’s a safe, non-judgmental, friendly environment where we are all in the same boat!
